Free time with Huskies is something for people who love dogs and nature. If you also enjoy movement and new experiences, you've come to the right place. Get to know an extraordinary and fascinating breed of dog during joint activities: the Siberian Husky. Again and again the Huskies surprise with their balanced and trustful character, their energy and joie de vivre. Let us inspire you!
Rides with a husky team:
Supporting programme of all horse-drawn carriage rides:

  • Welcome, interesting facts about sled dog breeds, pack life and training

  • To get to know the dogs and for the first direct contact the huskies are let out of their enclosure into the free run.

  • Explanation of the training wagons, introduction to the technology, if necessary test drives with the training wagons.

  • A special experience after the tour is the programme item: get in close contact with the Husky pack - make contact with the animals in the natural enclosure.

  • Bread and drinks will be served at the end of the meal.


Choose between the following variants:
  • Drive a Husky team - steer the team yourself

  • The 3-hour dog sled course "Hälla" is suitable for a sniff, we recommend the dog sled course "Sörnoret" for those who want to spend more time with the dogs.

  • Ride with a Husky team - ride as a passenger

  • The dog sledding course "Björksele" is an experience for a maximum of two participants. Due to this exclusivity, we are able to meet the individual needs of our guests and give room to all their senses.

  • To get to know the dogs and for the first direct contact the huskies are let out of their enclosure into the free run.

  • Equipment of the participants with abdominal belts, instruction in the hiking technique, harnessing of the dogs

  • After the hike, pastries and drinks will be served at the end of the hike.

  • Hiking with the whole family through the Frankendorfer Forst - also possible with small children

  • Hike through the nature reserve Kunsterspring - 12 years and older

  • Welcome, interesting facts about sled dog breeds, pack life and training

  • To get to know the dogs and the huskies are let out of their enclosure into the free run

  • Presentation of individual animals with their tasks in the pack, interesting facts about social relationships, explanations about eye and coat colours.

  • Getting to know the animals in the free run: the children and young people enter the free run and have first direct contacts to individual dogs.

  • Junior Musher's Day
    The dream of your own dog becomes reality for one day! A children's adventure day with a husky hike, followed by an agility course and a short carriage ride.

  • Huskyfarm Holiday Courses
    Train with your own goddog! Our three different courses differ in length and focus. Our weekend course "Getting to know each other: with a Husky pack close up" for 10 - 17 year olds is ideal for getting to know each other. In the summer course "Husky driving licence" for 10 - 17 year olds we train intensively for the dog driving licence, which can be taken in different stages with us. The spring and autumn courses "Musherzertifikat" for 13 - 19-year-olds focus on the running training of dogs. The young people can obtain a Musher certificate from us.

t Information for guests with reduced mobility

Short description

  • The offers of "Freizeit mit Huskies" are not specially designed to be barrier-free. For example, there is no rollercoaster toilet on site and the hikes take place over unspoilt terrain. However, there is the possibility to convert into a training car and participate in the hikes.
  • The offers are particularly suitable for guests with disabilities due to the contact with the Siberian Huskies. This dog breed is characterized by its extremely friendly nature. Direct cooperation with the staff also enables us to respond to the individual needs of each individual.
  • If you wish to take a ride with a husky team, we recommend the Björksele tour, where you sit on a training car as a passenger. This is steered by an experienced sled dog handler. There is the possibility that a second person (caring or accompanying) also rides along.
  • Guests who are interested in hiking with Siberian Huskies can call us for advice on the actual condition of the hiking trails (condition, width, gradient), so that each guest can judge for himself whether the route is suitable. For families with small children there is an all-terrain buggy available for hiking tours up to 4 km - please inquire in advance. Note: the paths are not barrier-free, but we would like to meet the increased information needs of people with mobility impairments with our advisory services.
  • Guests who are interested in Huskyfarm experiences for children can contact us in an individual telephone conversation to clarify whether the child/young person can participate in all activities or whether he/she will participate in the experience together with an accompanying person.     • We recommend the Björksele tour to guests who would like to go on a husky ride. The guests take a seat as passengers on a training car, which is driven by an experienced sled dog handler. It is possible that a seeing companion rides with the team.

On Junior Musher's Day, children/young people can take part in activities together with a sighted companion, e.g. parental, grandparent and parental tours and walk the course together with a sighted companion and lead a dog together.
