The show garden Ark in Papenbruch is a large parish garden. Set on fertile land, there is a stream and three springs that bubble inexhaustibly from the depths.
Wheat, millet, flax, barley, grapes, apples, pears, plums, cherries and various soft fruits grow on these more than 7,000 m². A bee colony collects honey in the many herb and flower beds.
The area is also home to the endangered domestic animal breeds "Leineschaf" and "Harzer Fuchs" (Old German Shepherd Dog). The lovingly restored former large baking house was converted with a corresponding paddock shelter and home to two dwarves.
Since 2007 we have been able to keep the Arche show garden open for visitors every day during the garden season with a lot of voluntary support and a disabled workplace.
