The Geltow hand weaving mill is the largest in Germany and at 70 years of age is certainly one of the oldest hand weaving mills. Possibly even the oldest family-run master business in this industry. Even today we are still working on 200 to 300 year old looms. Nimble hands warp and tree chains, then move boats and steps, creating beautiful fabrics from individual natural fibre threads. Fabrics are woven according to traditional patterns and processed into towels, table linen and home accessories. Also clothing for demanding people is made to measure. The new collection will be presented at two fashion shows in May, which will enjoy great popularity. In a small shop located on the Weberhof, all the attractive items as well as HB ceramics and Lauchhammer art casting can also be purchased. In the museum, visitors can learn interesting facts about this ancient craft from experts.
