The Neuzell Passion Depictions of the Holy Sepulchre, made around 1750, are among the most important works of art from the furnishings of the Neuzelle Monastery. They were stage sets of a monumental baroque theatre, which depicted in 15 scenes the biblical events of the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Neuzell Passion Depictions of the Holy Sepulchre are unique in Europe in terms of size, scope and artistic quality. They have been permanently presented in the Museum "Himmlisches Theater" since March 2015. For the first time in over 150 years, the two scenes "Judas Kiss" and "Carrying the Cross" with their stage sets have been restored and can now be seen completely in public again - an artistic and spiritual treasure.
