The Ofen- und Keramikmuseum Velten, founded in 1905, shows the history of art and technology of the heat dispenser on approx. 900 m² in the attic of the Schmidt-Lehmann kiln factory. It gives an insight into the ceramics of the region with a focus on the first third of the 20th century, among others stoneware factories Velten-Vordamm with the Bauhäusler Burri and Bogler, Hael, W. E. Schade and others as well as a collection of more than 500 objects of Hedwig Bollhagen ceramics, mainly serial production. The Veltener Ofen- und Keramikmuseum (OKM) is the starting and ending point of the German Clay Route and preserves, researches and conveys the ceramic heritage of the Mark Brandenburg.
