Experience history - shape the future

The historic Adler Pharmacy is the oldest half-timbered house in the city. Today it houses the Eberswalde Museum, which is over 100 years old, and the Tourist Information Office. Since 2014, the architectural monument has been accessible to all and features a newly designed permanent exhibition. The history of the house, the town and the region forms the leitmotif of the chronologically structured show with thematic focuses, for example on industrialisation in the Finow Valley or on forestry teaching and research in the 19th century. A special exhibit is the complete copy of the Eberswalde gold treasure. The original is regarded as the largest gold find of the Bronze Age ever discovered in Germany.
In the Future Laboratory on the top floor, visitors* can design their visions for Eberswalde with a large urban construction kit under the motto "Sustainable into the future".

TouchBar - History to touch and try out (attic floor)
Feel and feel important stations in Eberswalde's city history, the Barnim region and the Adler Pharmacy monument. From Abacus via a trolleybus line made of copper wire to the brick with brand you will find selected museum pieces to touch and try out. There are also brief descriptions of the significance and function of the exhibits in Braille and large print.
The programme includes changing special exhibitions with accompanying programmes, museum educational activities and guided tours. Audio guide in German, English and Polish
