In the visitor centre Burg Lenzen guests receive tips for best observations in nature, information on the landscape, sights and current events and discover the fascinating natural and cultural history of the region in the exhibitions. Precious original objects, audio stations and computer animations lead through the eventful history of the city of Lenzen. A special attraction is the diorama, which shows the battle of Lenzen in the year 929 with about 8000 tin figures.

In the exhibition "Flusslandschaft am Grünen Band" the Elbe floodplain comes to life. Here you will learn interesting facts about floodplain ecology and flood protection, about the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Elbe-Brandenburg and impressive flood events in a playful way and with all your senses. Special experiences are the view from the 24 meter high medieval castle tower and a virtual flight on the heron (not barrier-free accessible).

The visitor centre Burg Lenzen also offers guided excursions. By bike or on foot or by boat or canoe you can explore the fascinating nature, culture and history of the Elbe river landscape, the floodplain wilderness, the Rambow Moor or along the "Green Belt", the former German-German border, which is now a refuge for nature.
