The Slawenburg Raddusch is a replica of a fortress from the 9th/10th century. Integrated into the castle wall is one of the most modern exhibitions in Germany: "Archaeology in Lower Lusatia". Here excavation results and finds from the time of the Slavic settlement of Lusatia are shown, which were excavated in the run-up to the open-cast lignite mine.

Through reconstructions, modern find presentations and the use of multimedia devices, visitors to the exhibition gain a vivid insight into the past life worlds of a largely disappeared culture as well as into the tasks and problems of "lignite archaeology".

Outside, the 12,000-year history of Lower Lusatia can be experienced on a so-called "Zeit-Steg" with various landscape islands. A spacious playground for children is also available.
