In 1804 Albrecht Daniel Thaer moved to Möglin at the instigation of the Prussian state and opened the First Academic College of Agriculture in Germany.
Since 2009, a permanent exhibition in a modern pavilion in Möglin has been dedicated to the life and work of the teacher, statesman and agricultural scientist Albrecht Daniel Thaer (1752-1828). In the immediate vicinity is the 400-year-old manor house with the tomb of Thaer in the manor park.
