The house in the former royal carriage (horse) stable in the historic centre of Potsdam is a lively forum for history and culture with its permanent exhibition on 900 years of Brandenburg-Prussia. Here, art-historically significant pieces stand alongside seemingly trivial but vivid testimonies to everyday culture - from the smallest object, a Pestfloh, which can only be seen through a magnifying glass, to the largest, an oldtimer from the 1920s. With changing special exhibitions, guided tours and various events in the stable and on the farm, the house is a place of encounter, dialogue, leisure and entertainment.

The permanent exhibition "Country and people. Stories from Brandenburg-Prussia" will beconceptually, content and design revised and digitally supplemented. Until the opening of a new permanent Brandenburg-Prussia exhibition in October 2020, the building will offer an intermezzo on the ground floor entitled "Der Kutschpferdestall 1790 bis 2020 | Das Prußische Potsdam im Stadtmodell". Here the interactive Potsdam model, which presents the Prussian residence, garrison and authority city of 1912, is still accessible to visitors. In addition, a display board offers information on the construction and usage history of the coach horse stable and on the future plans of the HBPG.

The House of Brandenburg-Prussian History is one of 4 participating museums in theMuseum combi-ticket.
