The city was bursting at the seams, building materials were needed. So it came as handy that clay was found north of Berlin and the largest brickworks district in Europe developed. In the heart is the "Ziegeleipark". Surrounded by water, monuments from the boom period of industry and the unique clay-pit landscape, you can embark on a voyage of discovery.

On exciting guided tours, you will learn about the difficult conditions under which people lived and worked here. Discover old technology that was used here: The hissing of the still functioning steam engine in the Stackebrandt brickworks or the transmisison-driven machines in the old workshops. You will get the best overview and valuable tips for your excursion on the "Ziegeleibahn-Rundfahrt". Or let forests, old brickworks and lakes pass you by on the nature park tour with the "Tonlorenbahn". In the exhibitions and multimedia productions "Bausteine für Berlin" in the Ringofen and "Werktätige im VEB" in the Maschinenziegelei there is plenty to try out. The large adventure playground with cable ferry and small animal zoo as well as the picnic area with bathing area offer free space for romping and dreaming. And if you are looking for an extraordinary place to meet and celebrate, this is the right place for you!
