The museum of the Thirty Years' War presents itself on seven floors in the tower of the bishop's castle Wittstock. Following on from the visitor's own world of experience, the exhibition will show competitors for universal power in Europe, the suffering of the population, soldiers as perpetrators and victims, weapons technology and the great battles up to the long-awaited peace. Remarkable is the multitude of original autographs, weapons and other witnesses from the time of this first European war. The Bischofsburg also houses the Ostprignitz Museum.
