The Museum Barberini, supported by the Hasso Plattner Foundation, is a top-class art museum in Potsdam. The Barberini Palace, with its historic façade, which was destroyed in an air raid in 1945, was rebuilt directly opposite the state parliament on the Old Market Square. It is part of the reconstruction of one of the once most beautiful squares in Europe and the historic centre of Potsdam. The Barberini Museum was named "Building of the Year" in January 2017 by the Stadtbild Deutschland association and is one of the most important current museum openings in Europe.

Here, masterpieces of art history are waiting to be discovered: Whether on an individual tour, with a guided tour or guided by the audio guide in the Barberini App. The starting point for the presentations is the Hasso Plattners art collection, which focuses on Impressionism and GDR art. For the museum's exhibitions, these works are combined with important loans from museums and private collectors from all over the world.
