The "Kiebitzsee", near the town of Falkenberg/Elster, is an oasis of relaxation. The freely accessible lake lies in the middle of meadows, fields, pine and deciduous forests and, with its 70 hectares of water surface, has a high water quality. The recreation area has a 1.35 km long bathing beach with guarded and unguarded beach sections. Among them are an integrated swimming camp and a naturist bathing area. A giant slide on the demarcated area for non-swimmers ensures great fun for the little ones.
Two bungalow settlements and a camping site with 150 pitches make a longer holiday at the lake possible. A snack bar with beer garden and a Eiscafe´ can be found on the beach promenade; guests can use WLAN on the campsite.
In addition to the swimmer and non-swimmer area, the lake area also offers many alternatives on land. A well-developed hiking and cycling trail invites you to take a walk or cycle around the lake. Bicycles and boats can be hired at a rental station. The lake with its numerous fish species offers anglers a large hunting area.
