Bildungsforum Potsdam
The Bildungsforum Potsdam (Potsdam Education Forum) is a joint institution of the City and State Library (SLB), the Albert Einstein Adult Education Centre (VHS) and the Science Floor (WIS) and offers a unique range of services. It is an informative and exciting meeting place for education, media and science in the centre of the state capital Potsdam.
As a place of lifelong learning, all age groups and user groups will find appropriate offers under one roof - whether an exhibition at the WIS, a course at the VHS or reading promotion at the SLB, visitors will find short distances here. For example, if you want to prepare for a holiday in Spain, you can attend a Spanish course at the VHS on the 2nd floor, then find the language course you need, Spanish travel guide and the holiday novel to borrow at the SLB. While parents attend a lecture on scientific topics in the WIS on the 4th floor, the children in the children's world of the library can have exciting stories read to them by the reading mentors on special days.
In the learning workshop on the upper floor of the SLB you can use computer consultation hours, supervised learning for basic education and advice on all aspects of eBorrowing. A café on the ground floor invites you to refresh and enjoy. Joint series of events such as "The Lunch Package", "Historical Pages" and "Literature in Conversation" complement the offerings of the individual partners in the Education Forum. A printed programme of events is available on all floors.
